Participate in Clinical Practice Guideline committees
Primary Care Alberta Screening Programs is seeking expressions of interest from physicians to join the Cervical, Lung and Colorectal Clinical Practice Guidelines CommitteesThese committees will provide clinical insight, review evidence and help develop highquality, equityinformed screening recommendations for AlbertaHonoraria are available for committee members. 
Committee members include family medicine, nurse practitioners, methodological expertscontent expertsspecialty clinicians and Screening Programs staff. Administrative and methodological support will be provided.   

Responsibilities 
  • Participate in meetings over 6 to 18 months (estimated 30 hours total, in 2-hour time commitments), starting Spring 2026.  
  • Review relevant literature and evidence to support guideline development.  
  • Provide feedback on draft recommendations. 
  • Complete required conflictofinterest disclosures. 

Requirements  

  • Active CPSA license with clinical experience in primary care, preventive care or cancer screening. 
  • Familiarity with evidencebased practice, including interpreting clinical studies and guidelines. 
  • Ability to critically appraise literature and contribute to consensusbuilding. 
  • Experience in quality improvement, population health or screening pathways is an asset. 
  • Strong communication skills and comfort participating in group discussions. 
  • Commitment to equityinformed care, including understanding barriers to screening. 
  • Willingness to adhere to guideline development standards.
