New annualized clinical ARP resources

If you're considering a clinical ARP (cARP) or already implementing one, new AMA resources are available to support Alberta physicians and teams, including our Implementation Guide. This comprehensive document provides key information for establishing a cARP, including details on funding distribution options, governance, reporting requirements and administration. It is an essential resource for physician groups considering cARP adoption or navigating the first year of implementation.

Explore more cARP resources here and watch for additional tools in the coming months.

An update on efforts to shape a more sustainable health system

Last month, we invited physicians to join two new committees focused on advancing high-value care and strengthening health system sustainability. We’re pleased to share an update on that work and highlight an exciting opportunity to get involved.

Peer Review Billing Committee applications open until March 22
There’s still time to apply for the Peer Review Billing Committee! This group will review anonymized physician practice patterns to identify opportunities to strengthen billing practices across the profession.

Reporting to the AMA Board, committee members will foster a collegial environment to share knowledge, promote billing consistency, and provide recommendations to improve the SOMB. Learn more and apply (AMA login required).

Quality Stewardship Committee members selected
The members for the Quality Stewardship Committee (AMA login required) have been selected and will focus on advancing evidence-informed clinical best practices, shaping policy and enhancing patient care.

We’re grateful to all members who expressed interest and generously put their names forward, and we look forward to launching this committee in April 2026.

Team Charter Guide

A charter is a document that defines a team’s purpose, values and how members agree to work together. AMA-ACTT developed a Team Charter Guide, which includes a template designed to help clinic teams hold the structured discussions needed to create a customized charter. Grounded in team-based care principles, this process supports collaboration, communication and commitment.
