The deadline to apply is June 19. The AMA is currently recruiting an Indigenous physician to fill a member position on the Indigenous Health Committee (IHC). Visit the AMA committee recruitment web application (login required) to view the posting and apply.

Questions about Connect Care Launch 4 and changes in information delivery?

AHS electronically delivers patient information to providers at their private community practices using a system called eDelivery. With Connect Care Launch 4, there are changes in information delivery to community providers, and AHS sites are being contacted with questions. To help with these questions, AHS has provided a summary guide.
 

Additional information and resources are available on the AHS website, related to topic of electronic patient information distribution, including eDelivery; results delivery (lab, DI, other diagnostics); and Connect Care for Community Providers.

The Physician and Family Support Program (PFSP) believes that all physicians can benefit from having a personal family physician to maintain optimal health and thus enable them to better care for their patients.
 

The Physicians for Physicians (P4P) program is a confidential network of family physicians who are willing to take colleagues as patients in their practices.

Clinical Opportunities

What is your approach to cancer diagnosis?

University of Alberta researchers and the AHS Cancer Strategic Clinical Network are conducting a “Cognitive Task Analysis Concept Mapping” study with family physicians to help us understand and improve cancer care, experiences, and outcomes in Alberta. 
 

Your involvement
The researchers want to know more about your role and thinking in navigating the process of cancer diagnosis. This would take 90 minutes of your time and take place over Zoom video conferencing. Honorariums will be offered.

Interested in improving heart failure symptom management for patients in the medical home?

The one:carepath team is looking to interview three-to-five primary care physicians to know more about their role and thinking within the process of symptom management in heart failure.
