Updates

Future State of CII/EMR updates

There are several exciting developments underway across EMRs as CII continues to evolve:

  • Electronic Referral Solution (ERS) integration is rolling out to more Healthquest clinics
  • A Healthquest EMR Network webinar recorded January 15 provides further details

Ava

  • Lab eOrdering functionality is currently in development; no test clinics yet

Med Access

  • Consult reports did not flow to Alberta Netcare from December 5 to 18
  • No update yet on whether these reports will be retroactively uploaded

Juno

  • CPAR panels are now live, and primary care clinics can sign up through electronic Confirmation of Participation (eCOP) form
  • Work is ongoing on CII conformance for encounters and consult reports
  • Eligible Juno physicians may now choose to sign up for PCPCM once they go live on CPAR

Accuro

  • Pulmonary Function Diagnostics (PFD) conformance is in progress

Upcoming Juno Webinar

Join us on February 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the next Juno webinar, where we’ll highlight valuable lessons learned from the first CPAR uploads completed using the Juno EMR.

If you work at or support a clinic using Juno, we encourage you to register for the AMA-ACTT EMR Network.

CPAR Conflicts Reporting

A reminder that CPAR Conflict dashboards are published monthly on the conflicts webpage. These dashboards provide both provincial and zonal data to help track progress with conflict management.

PCN and clinic level conflict data continue to be shared directly with PCNs each month by the PPHS eHealth team.

Thank you for your ongoing work and dedication to managing conflicts effectively.

Q&A Highlights

Q: Is Juno still in a limited production release stage?

A: While the Juno website still indicates that they are in a limited production release stage, it is likely because they are still working on conformance of CII for encounters and other data types. eHealth is ready to receive Confirmation of Participation forms for any Juno clinics that wish to participate in CPAR panels.
