Website changes coming to AMA and ACTT

The AMA and ACTT websites will see a complete overhaul in late summer or early fall 2024, getting a fresh new look and exciting new functions and features. At the same time, the ACTT website will be merged into the new AMA website. The ACTT website content that you rely on will still be available! It will simply be combined with content within the larger AMA website.

Resource Centre and new CPAR forms cheat sheet

Rest assured that the Resource Centre will be maintained (and expanded!) on the new AMA-ACTT website. This is a great go-to source for a lot of useful CII/CPAR information, such as onboarding tips, CPAR form instructions, EMR resources, Encounter data maps, privacy information and panel and conflict management tools.

There was an exciting new resource added recently! This “Cheat Sheet” will help clinics and teams figure out which CPAR forms they need for a given situation. For example, if you want to add an additional facility to an existing CPAR panel (in cases where a panel spans multiple clinic locations but shares an EMR instance), which of the three CPAR forms do you need?  Check out the Cheat Sheet to find out!

Help us sign-up more non-FM specialist physicians

Non-Family Medicine (non-FM) specialists working in community-based EMRs need to sign up for CII to submit their Consult Reports to Netcare. Having a copy of those reports in Netcare means that other providers involved in the patient’s care can read those reports, and that may inform their care plans. It also means that the consult report will follow the patient throughout their healthcare journey, instead of living only in the referring provider’s EMR.

Help us sign up more non-FM specialists by, for example:

  • Adding any non-FM specialists in the clinic to the CoP, while you’re helping a clinic onboard primary care providers (assuming the non-FM provider agrees to participate).
  • Emailing AMA-ACTT with any clinic or physician names of specialty clinics that you or the clinics you support would like to see their consult reports uploaded to Netcare; AMA-ACTT will reach out to talk to them about signing up.
  • Consider talking to clinic teams and physicians you work with about how they might help convince your favourite speciality clinics to sign up; bonus points if you can have a referring physician reach out to a non-FM physician to talk to them about signing up for CII!

New Learn@AMA online training available now

AMA-ACTT has updated and relaunched the Panel in Action curriculum on Learn@AMA! After completing this free online course, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the significance of a panel and panel processes in optimizing Patient's Medical Homes.
  • Interpret primary care panel processes including panel identification, maintenance and management.
  • Relate EMR tools and resources to an existing panel.

Sign up today for an excellent refresher on the importance of good paneling processes!
