General Updates

The following updates were briefly discussed:

Onboarding of Allied Health Professionals to CII/CPAR is still on hold.
Displaying the CPAR Provider in Connect Care is still in development.
Pediatric CPAR panels no longer generate Conflicts with GP/Family Physician CPAR panels; this took effect in late March 2024.
How and when some eNotifications will be shut off (to reduce duplication of Connect Care Summative Notes) is still being determined.
CII will be the foundation of several other exciting functions, including a new and improved Electronic Referral System, electronic ordering of labs (eOrdering).

New EMR to Start Conformance!

The vendor that owns Juno/Oscar EMRs has agreed to start the CII/CPAR conformance process! Once Juno/Oscar is conformed, an estimated 99% of community-based clinics will be using a CII/CPAR-compatible EMR! Conformance is a fairly length process but stay tuned for updates on their progress.

Electronic Confirmation of Participation Form

AMA-ACTT, with input from AH and other partners, has developed a web-form version of the Confirmation of Participation (CoP) form. This form is currently being piloted by a couple of PCNs. Once a few CoPs have been successfully submitted using it, the form will be published on the AMA-ACTT CII/CPAR webpage. This form is intended to be easier to fill and should simplify the process for onboarding new clinics or updating existing clinics.

What is CII/CPAR Connect?

CII/CPAR Connect is a regular meeting for anyone needing support with CII/CPAR and aims to support those implementing CII/CPAR by creating a forum to connect and ask questions.

Meetings run monthly, typically on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. You can choose to attend any one meeting or all of them.
