Additional diagnostic reports for patients available through My Personal Records
As of June 18, 2024 Albertans can view additional diagnostic reports in MyHealth Records, the single access point for Albertans’ personal health information. These reports are viewable through the My Personal Records application. This change was made to provide Albertans with immediate access to more of their health information and serve as an additional safety net for patient care within the system. These reports are viewable to Albertans as soon as they become available (i.e. there is no imposed delay).

An initial grouping of diagnostic reports were first released to Albertans in My Personal Records in March 2023; the recent June 2024 release includes electrodiagnostic reports such as ECGs, EEGs and EMGs as well as stress tests and Holter monitor reports that were not previously available. Alberta Health continues to work on making more information available in My Personal Records, and Albertans can expect to see an increase, over time, in the amount of personal health information in this application. Physicians and other providers will continue to have access to reports through their usual channels, including Alberta Netcare.
