Updates

PPHS Dashboards & Certificates of Achievement

PPHS updated their dashboards in October using the cleaned-up denominators that PCNs and AMA-ACTT provided. The results are dashboards which show percentage participation rates closer to the previous AMA-ACTT dashboards.

The denominator clean-up will be applied to the PPHS dashboards until March 2026, at which point they will revert to using the raw PCN membership numbers to calculate CII/CPAR participation. This is also when AMA-ACTT will end the Certificate of Achievement distribution (for 80% live at your PCN). If by your internal metrics your PCN has reached 80% live, please reach out to ciicpar@albertadoctors.org to request a certificate.

Note: “80% Live” is defined as 80% of PCN member physicians that carry a panel and that are CII/CPAR eligible, are live. Exclusions to your denominator include physicians that are locum only, specialists (do not carry a panel), or on a non-conformed EMR. Please do not remove “eligible but refuses” from your denominator.

Conflicts Reporting Change

AMA-ACTT is no longer sending individual PCN conflict dashboards or reports. Instead, we are publishing a monthly PDF with the provincial and zonal dashboards to this conflicts webpage.

PCN and clinic-level conflict data are provided monthly by the eHealth team directly to PCNs. Thank you for your continued work on conflicts.

CII/CPAR Inbox Support

Most CII/CPAR inquiries can go straight to eHealthProviderSupport@gov.ab.ca. For example:

  • Panel upload issues
  • Questions about AA and PA roles
  • CII/CPAR paperwork issues
  • Conflicts with panels that you suspect should be terminated
  • Onboarding and offboarding issues
  • CPAR Portal questions

Examples of questions and issues that should still go to ciicpar@albertadoctors.org

  • Specialists interested in CII
  • Non-technical questions about CII/CPAR
  • Privacy concerns
  • CII data related questions
  • Suggestions for improvement in support or resources
  • Concerns raised by physicians and teams that may impact adoption and/or conflict reduction
  • Anything else you don’t think eHealth can assist with!

Webinar of Interest

Providers and team members are invited to register for Digital Health Innovation – Session #2 and are encouraged to invite physicians and teams that they support.

Q&A Highlights

Q: Can CoP be submitted for Juno?

A: Not quite yet! If the clinic is very keen, they can submit an EOI on the Juno website, which may put them at the front of the line when the general roll-out begins.

Q: Can a new physician be set up immediately on CII/CPAR or is there a waiting period?

A: Physicians and their clinics should start the CII/CPAR onboarding process as soon as they have confirmed that a physician will be joining or opening a new clinic. This can potentially help to reduce the amount of time that they will be waiting to go live on CII/CPAR after their first day of work at the clinic.

Q: Can physicians get continuing education credits for doing Physician Practice Improvement Program (PPIP) activities?

A: They may be able to claim 'unaccredited' (for Royal college MOC)  or 'non-certified' (for CCFP) credits, but physicians and teams will need to confirm with these bodies and with CPSA.
