New webinar series: PCCM Panel Prep - take control of your panel size estimate

The Panel Management Support Program (PMSP) and Transitional Funding Program (TFP) provided some much-needed financial stability to primary care. However, many physicians reported that the estimated panel size these programs used to determine funding was unexpectedly low.

Join Dr. Ernst Greyvenstein and AMA-ACTT for this webinar series and learn what practical steps you can take to improve the accuracy of your panel size estimate. This may improve your future PMSP payments, which are recalculated and paid out quarterly until April 2026. Ensuring your panel size is accurate is also a great way to prepare for the launch of the new funding model (PCCM), which has a panel-based payment component.

This will be a three-part webinar series for family physicians and rural generalists:

Part One

How panel sizes are calculated for PMSP (and potentially for PCCM), what CII/CPAR is and how it can improve your panel size estimate, assigning CII/CPAR roles and responsibilities, and how to get started today.

Part Two

How to compare your EMR panel vs CPAR panel, and how to find and fix any discrepancies. Includes helpful tips and resources for each EMR (date/time TBD).

Part Three

Understand what CPAR conflicts and demographic mismatches are, how they impact panel size estimates and how your team can address them (date/time TBD).

Part one of this webinar series will be offered twice, once in the morning and once in the evening. Please register for your preferred date below:

  • September 3 @ 7:30 a.m. or
  • September 4 @ 5:30 p.m.

Watch for announcements coming soon on dates for parts two and three.

Submit a one-step nomination today!

This is the perfect opportunity for you to recognize the dedication, accomplishments and talents of your peers and colleagues who are making significant contributions to health care and the medical profession.

The CMA Awards span across 10 categories whose recipients include changemakers from different career stages, backgrounds and geographic regions. One non-physician is also recognized every year.
