April 2026

In this issue: Happy anniversary to the PCPCM| EMR co-leads wanted | Build team communication skills with our featured resource | Plus more!

April 2026 marks the one-year anniversary of the Primary Care Physician Compensation Model (PCPCM), with enrolment among eligible physicians reaching nearly 50% and continuing to grow!

Since its launch, the PCPCM has supported a shift toward sustainable, modern primary care. Physicians participating in the model are now recognized for the full scope of their work, including time spent on indirect patient care and practice management, enabling comprehensive care for their patients.

Interested in enroling?
Robust resources and tools are available to explore and implement the model. AMA members can use the financial calculator to estimate future earnings on the PCPCM and enrol at any time.
