Feedback opportunity: LUTS clinical pathway The Provincial Pathways Unit (PPU) is requesting that primary care providers review the Provincial Male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) Primary Care Clinical Pathway and send feedback to albertapathways@primarycarealberta.ca.
Research shows that 30-50 percent of men over 50 experience some form of LUTS, with prevalence rising with age. The Provincial Male LUTS Primary Care Clinical Pathway offers valuable guidance for primary care providers on effectively assessing LUTS and managing the condition based on symptom type and severity. The clinical pathway was co-designed with primary care physicians, urologists and geriatricians in Alberta. An accompanying patient pathway has also been developed and will launch in the coming weeks. Explore more pathways at www.albertapathways.ca.
