Hello CII/CPAR Connect participants,

Below is a summary from the CII/CPAR Connect meeting on July 18:

HQCA Confirmed Patient List (CPL) Panel Reports

  • Since June 20th, HQCA had 16 new requests for panel reports (7 requests on June 20 alone).

  • The turnaround time for reports is 2-3 weeks. If you haven’t received it in the time frame, please email primaryhealthcarereports@hqca.ca. 

CII/CPAR Acceleration Grant

  • Have any questions about the $12-million CII/CPAR Acceleration Grant? Check out the FAQ or email ciicpar@albertadoctors.org. 

  • Payments are still expected to start this summer. 

Monthly statistics

  • 513 clinics are live on CII/CPAR as of June 30th (an increase of 216 clinics in 1 year). Great work!

EMR Updates

  • Telus CHR

    • Data still flowing to the test environment.

    • New documents in Resource Centre.

  • Telus PSS

    • Encounters started flowing to Netcare on June 28th.

  • Telus Wolf

    • Clinics migrating to any new EMR within 3 months will be encouraged to wait to implement CII/CPAR.

    • Confirmation of Participation forms will NOT be accepted after September 1, 2023.

    • During September, eHealth will review all in-progress Wolf implementation to decide if they will continue to progress to live or if they will be permanently paused.

    • Provider changes will be accepted until December 2023.

  • Accuro

    • Panel uploads will move from the 12th of the month to the 13th.

    • Let’s embrace the idea of a panel upload window as additional EMR shifts are likely anticipated in the coming months.

Learn@AMA

  • Three CII/CPAR curriculums available: Onboarding (primary care), Go Live and Beyond (primary care) and Specialists (non-family medicine). If you need a Learn@AMA account, contact learn@albertadoctors.org.  

Clinics with slow progression after Confirmation of Participation form submission

  • This is a common occurrence – you and your clinic aren’t alone.

  • Try to understand their specific barriers: PIA, vacations, etc.

  • Ask if you can follow up in a specific time period (e.g.,1 month).

  • The next CII/CPAR Connect meeting is scheduled for August 18 at 1 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

CII/CPAR Connect is a regular meeting for anyone needing support with CII/CPAR and aims to support those implementing CII/CPAR by creating a forum to connect and ask questions.

Meetings run monthly, typically on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.You can choose to attend any one meeting or all of them.
