AMA Health Benefits Trust Fund - enroll now!
The annual enrollment period is open until March 1, 2026. No health questions or medical tests are required to enroll in AMA HBTF, and no pre-existing condition exclusions apply. Coverage begins on the first of the month following receipt of your application.

Two components of HBTF enable you to customize your health care plan to suit your needs:

Core Plan (required):

A basic, competitively priced, extended health care and dental plan offering prescription drugs, basic dental, extended health care coverage, plus a competitive Out of Province/Country emergency travel plan. Alberta Blue Cross administers all claims under the Core Plan.

Cost-Plus Plan (optional):
 
The Cost-Plus Plan is a self-insured plan that covers eligible health expenses not covered by the Core Plan. There is no premium to participate in the Cost-Plus Plan; only a nominal $25 administration fee for each Cost-Plus Plan claim submitted (no limit on the number of medical expenses contained in each claim).
Core Plan premiums and Cost-Plus Plan payments may be eligible as tax-deductible business expenses for yourself or your professional corporation.
