Connect meeting follow up

Celebration Moment

February 2024 dashboard update was reviewed, with plenty of celebratory milestones!

  • Over 601 clinic locations now live across the province!
  • Over 1 million Consult Reports submitted to Netcare as a result of CII participation!
  • Huge jump in CPAR paneled patients, now at over 1.8 million!

AVA Updates

AVA is very close to wrapping up the final phase of testing, and they will start onboarding clinics that are in-progress, so it will take some time for AVA and eHealth to get everyone live  Clinics that are already submitting manual panels to CPAR will be prioritized to go-live for automatic panels and encounters. These clinics may be asked to submit new CoPs, if their original CoPs did not have Encounters selected as a data type. eHealth will contact these clinics with instructions for next steps.

Please review and distribute these new resources with your AVA clinics:

A one-page graphic that maps specific AVA fields to the CED will be published soon.

Panel Management Support Program

A brief overview of this new funding program was provided. This initial $57 million is part of the larger MAPS initiative, created and funded by Alberta Health, intended to get urgently needed funding out to primary care providers that manage a panel of patients. AMA and ACTT are helping administer the payments.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.

Alberta Health calculates these “5-cut” panel estimates, and these are currently not accessible by AMA-ACTT.

Q&A Highlights

Discrepancies between expected EMR panel sizes versus CPAR panel sizes were discussed. The “Maintenance and Troubleshooting” course in the “CII/CPAR: Go-Live and Beyond” curriculum on Learn@AMA may help clinics correct some of discrepancies.
