The 2024-25 AMA Annual Report is here!

AGM registration is now open

The 2024-25 AMA Annual Report and Annual General Meeting Package are now available on the AMA website. This year, we’ve taken a narrative approach to our reporting on the association’s business activities. We’ve focused on highlighting how Alberta’s physicians and the AMA continue to lead through major, foundational changes in Alberta’s health care landscape.

Registration is now open for the 120th AMA AGM

We invite you to join us for the 120th AMA Annual General Meeting, taking place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7 via Zoom.

Registration is required to ensure that only AMA members vote at the AGM. To allow time for membership verification and be eligible to vote, members must register by 4 p.m. on Monday, October 6. Please note that voting eligibility cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after this deadline due to potential delays in verification.

The AMA/WCB Advisory Committee was established to

enhance the relationship between the AMA and WCB in relation to the diagnosis and treatment of injured

workers in Alberta and to provide mechanisms for the

ongoing management and implementation of the

Agreement.

If you have an interest in WCB-related issues, visit the AMA committee recruitment web application (login required) to view the posting and apply.

The deadline to apply is October 31.

Congratulations to Marisa Bonuccelli

on her 30-year milestone!

In her over 30 year tenure with the AMA, Marisa's roles have focused on physician payments and allocation. She is vital to the allocation process and to keeping the Schedule of Medical Benefits (SOMB) maintained over time, helping sections maintain relativity of their fees. Over the years, she’s provided countless expert advice to sections, physicians and clinic staff on billing matters, including assisting them with their claims submission difficulties.

A heartfelt thank you to Marisa for her remarkable 30 years of service. We deeply appreciate her ongoing dedication, loyalty and hard work in support of the AMA and our members.
