Last week to exercise a Guaranteed Insurability Benefit option for 2025

The Guaranteed Insurability Benefit (GIB) option window for eligible AMA disability insurance policyholders is currently open until April 30.

If your disability insurance needs have increased due to increased income or changes to your personal circumstances, now is the ideal time to increase your coverage. GIB rider holders have annual opportunities (to age 55) to obtain up to an additional $2,500 of disability insurance coverage without proof of good health.

Referral information will be viewable through the My Personal Records (MPR) application and will include referral date, referring provider, reason for referral (specialty or sub-specialty), referral statuses and referral status reason.

For sale? No, we aren't closing shop!

The AMA would like to let members know that after a careful review of our Edmonton office space needs and seeking guidance from the Board of Directors, the decision has been made to sell our Edmonton building, CMA Alberta House. In our hybrid work environment, the current building no longer meets our needs – it is too much space, the space is no longer effective for the way we work and there are financial savings to be recognized by renting a more appropriately sized space versus maintaining our current building.  We’ll communicate further once the sale is complete and our new location is confirmed, which we anticipate could take several months.  For details about the listing, please feel free to visit Office For Sale — 12230 106 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta T5N 3Z1 | Canada | Colliers.
